(Culling the very best from the DaRK PaRTY NeTWORK)
- Max over at the Drunken Severed Head has a thoughtful post about the trials and tribulations of writing a blog – and the difficulties of avoiding blog burnout. He notes: “I do have mixed feelings about blogging… I do sometimes feel "a burden of guilt" when I go several days without posting.” We can relate!
- Bybee at Naked Without Books just finished reading “Oil” by Upton Sinclair (the movie “There Will Be Blood” is based on it) and makes an interesting connection to John Steinbeck’s “In Dubious Battle.”
- The Sci-fi Chick has a sneak peek at “The Incredible Hulk” trailer starring the always good Ed Norton. For those disappointed in Ang Lee’s “Hulk,” the sequel looks much better.
- Want a belly laugh? Then head on over to Pop Sensation where Rex Parker analyzes the covers of his pulp fiction collection.
- Ever wonder what happened to Mary Badham, the little actress who played Scout in the movie “To Kill a Mockingbird?” Well Sam Houston over at Book Chase has the answer – and an updated photo of the 55-year-old Badham.
- Larurens Lambert at The Gravel Pit pans the new Robert Crais novel “The Watchman,” which kind of bums us out as fans of the Elvis Cole private eye series.
- Joe Valdez at This Distracted Globe analyzes the hell out of the Julia Stiles vehicle “Save the Last Dance.” And god help us, now we want to see it.
(Would you like to be popular? Do you want to go from a 90-pound weakling to a strapping 190-pound bully? Do you want better hair? How about a complete personality transplant?
